A degree in Biological Science with a teacher licensure concentration prepares students to become effective educators in secondary education. The program combines a strong foundation in the biological sciences with professional coursework in pedagogy, curriculum development, and classroom management.

Program Requirements:

Completion of the Bonaventure Program and requirements for undergraduate degrees.
Requirements for teacher licensure (see Education) and BIO 400 .
A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.60 is required for acceptance into the Teacher Education Program.

BIO 151 - Principles of Biology II 4 Credit(s)
BIO 497 - W: Coordinating Seminar 1 Credit(s) (senior year).
An additional 15 credit hours in biology not including the listed major courses. No more than 6 credit hours can be at the 200 level and the remaining 9 credits must be at the 300-400 level.
