This is the second semester of the world history undergraduate survey course. The first semester went from our origins to the birth of Islam in the early seventh century of our era. This second semester takes us from the origins of Islam to the present and beyond. Throughout these two courses, we ask, how did we get here? Why has the process been so violent and unfair? How do we reconcile human greatness and depravity? What does it all mean, and where are we going?
