PHI 251 - History of Philosophy: Ancient-Medieval 3 Credit(s)
This course provides an introduction to and overview of the western philosophical tradition from the ancient Greeks (c. 7th century BC) through the Middle Ages. Through class discussions, reading quizzes, and essay-based exams, students will articulate distinctions between major theories in the history of philosophy and compare how these theories address perennial problems of metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, and politics.
