ACC 420 - Financial Statement Analysis

This course covers the interpretation, analysis, and evaluation of financial reports from the viewpoints of creditors, owners, and investment firms. It explores and analyzes the impact of general business and specific industry situations, the behavior of financial markets, credit or lending criteria, and equity investments standards as related to financial statements to determine present and future financial conditions. GIven the rise of big-data environments, students in this course learn the tools and skillsets to analyze finacial health of firms, and how firms operate in compliance with the regulatory bodies’ reporting requirements.
