Academic Affairs
The Office of Academic Affairs oversees the academic and instructional activities at Quincy University. This includes curriculum development and the implementation of academic policies and procedures. Academic Affairs is also in charge of hiring and evaluating faculty and personnel in academic areas. The office manages student course evaluations and coordinates Commencement events. Additionally, student requests to register for more than 18 hours, late registration changes, independent study, and directed research must be approved by Academic Affairs.
Admissions
The role of the Admissions team is to cultivate relationships with prospective students and their families. The admissions staff guides students in exploring all aspects of Quincy University, ensuring each prospective student receives personalized attention throughout the college search and application process.
They provide information on academics, college life, financial aid, and service opportunities, and facilitate campus visits to give prospective students a comprehensive view of the Quincy University experience. Quincy University operates on a rolling admissions basis, so there are no specific application and enrollment fee deadlines.
Advancement, Alumni Services, and Community Relations
The Office of Advancement, Alumni Services, and Community Relations oversees fundraising efforts on campus and engages alums and friends of the University. This office also manages media relations and communications for the QU and external communities. The office solicits contributions for campus improvements and scholarships using various channels such as face-to-face visits, social media, mailings, and electronic appeals.
Athletics HFC
Quincy University sponsors intercollegiate sports programs at the varsity level. Our athletic teams, known as the Hawks, compete in the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) and the Midwest Sprint Football League.
Hawk Shop QU Bookstore Student Union
The Hawk Shop is located in the Student Union. It sells textbooks, school supplies in-store and online, apparel, and alum collectibles.
Brenner Library
Brenner Library offers comprehensive resources and services to support your academic needs. The library is well-equipped for study and research with over 109,000 book titles, a diverse collection of DVDs and music CDs, multiple workstations, and wireless connectivity. Students can borrow laptops and utilize on-site facilities such as copiers, DVD/CD players, projectors, mobile screens, and color and black and white printing. Electronic access includes thousands of journal articles, US newspapers, research book collections, and image and video archives. Librarians are available throughout the day to assist with research inquiries.
Campus Ministry
The Campus Ministry program at Quincy University fosters individual spiritual development and growth. The QU Campus Calendar provides a schedule of Masses and spiritual programs. Beyond these regular events, Campus Ministry hosts diverse activities that promote community building and deepen spiritual understanding. All students are welcome to participate in these programs, irrespective of their religious background.
Dining Services
Quincy University Dining Services takes pride in offering all-you-care-to-eat dining options that include a variety of healthful, sustainable, and made-to-order selections. Grab-and-go items and a late-night grill are available in the main dining room, with options also offered at the North Campus Eatery.
Facilities 20th & Oak Street
The Facilities Department serves the QU community by providing housekeeping, maintenance, and grounds services.
Health & Fitness Center
The Health & Fitness Center at Quincy University offers various recreational and intramural activities. It boasts three multi-purpose gymnasium courts, a 3,600-square-foot fitness room with 17 cardio machines, an aerobics room, an indoor walking/running track, two racquetball courts, a 6-lane intercollegiate pool, and a whirlpool. Students, faculty, and staff must present a valid ID to access the center; equipment is available at the front desk for checkout.
Human Resources
The Office of Human Resources oversees employee-related information for faculty, staff, and students. Students employed on campus must visit the Office of Human Resources for payroll and tax purposes.
Information Technology Services
IT supports all campus technology, including laptop or mobile device connection to the network, password resets, printing, and other technical assistance.
Mailroom
The University Mailroom, located in room B10 on the lower level of Francis Hall, handles letters, documents, and packages from USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL. Campus mailboxes are assigned to students, faculty, staff, and departments and are accessible 24/7.
Resident student mail is typically delivered to mailboxes by 11 AM on weekdays, with no weekend delivery. Oversized packages trigger a pickup slip notification placed in the recipient’s mailbox. To claim a package, recipients must present their slip and student ID during mailroom hours.

Stamps and postal services, such as weighing and shipping letters/packages, are available. The mailroom will remain closed when the University is closed.
Office of Student Development
Located within the J. Kenneth Nesbit Student Success Center, the Office of Student Development advocates for students and provides support across multiple areas of campus life. These include housing, meal plans, campus involvement, Greek Life, intramurals, student programming, New Student Orientation, and the Student Accountability Process, among other student interest/need areas. The office also oversees campus security and the Health and Well-Being Clinic located in Friars Hall.
The Vice President of Student Development/Dean of Students Office, located in Francis Hall 121, is responsible for managing ADA accommodations and overseeing the withdrawal and leave of absence processes. Students needing support in these areas should contact the office directly for assistance.
President’s Office
The President of Quincy University and the Vice President for Mission and Ministry are in the President’s Office.
QUEST
The QUEST Center offers current students and alums career counseling, development, and placement services. Career counselors work individually with students to explore their interests and align them with suitable careers and majors. Additionally, the Center facilitates the job search process by inviting employers from various businesses, industries, government, and non-profits to campus for interviews and hosts Speed Networking events to enhance networking opportunities.
Service Learning
All QU Students are required to participate in service learning opportunities during their academic career. Specific requirements can be found by speaking to a member of the Quest Center Team.
Study Abroad
Quincy University encourages students to enrich their education with an international study experience. Opportunities for all majors include short-term faculty-led trips and semester-long independent study abroad.
Registrar
The Registrar’s Office maintains all academic records. Course schedules are available during pre-registration, and all scheduling forms are processed at the Registrar’s Office.
Student Financial Services
Student Financial Services is a team of professionals dedicated to helping students locate sources of aid to lessen the financial burdens associated with higher education. The staff provides students with information on financial aid resources, debt management education, and financial assistance counseling, and will assist students in managing their financial obligations to the University.
