Admission:

 

Direct Entry

  • Cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Prerequisites 1 year of high school physics, and transcripted math preparation deemed calculus-ready as defined by the Admission Committee.
  • Applicants who do not meet the standard admission requirements can submit a personal statement as part of the application. This statement should include educational background, work experience, and motivation for studying engineering. Personal statements will be reviewed and evaluated by the Admission Committee, and the Engineering Program Director.

OR

  • Declare a Math, Pre-Engineering or other major upon acceptance to the University and meet the Admission with Prerequisites Complete Requirements below in order to be admitted to the Engineering Program.

 

Entry With Prerequisites Complete

  • Completion of at least 24 hours of college credit
  • Cumulative college GPA of 2.5 or higher, including transfer work.
  • Completion of all prerequisite courses for sophomore Engineering Courses with a grade of C or better (English Composition I, Calculus I, Calculus II, Physics I (Calculus-based); and Computer Programming for Electrical Engineering), or CHE 125 or CHE 150 or equivalent Chemistry course with Lab (For Mechanical Engineering).
  • Prerequisites GPA of 2.5 or higher

Program Requirements:

  1. Completion of the Bonaventure Program and requirements for undergraduate degrees.
  2.  Students need a Cumulative Major GPA of 2.0 and a C or better in all major courses to receive a degree. Major courses are all courses listed in section G of the degree checklist.
