The undergraduate dual licensure option allows the candidate to secure licensure in (a) Special Education and (b) Elementary Education. With this option, candidates seeking a Special Education license (Grades K-12) will also earn licensure in Elementary Education (Grades 1-6). The degree checklist for this option will reflect this combination and reflect current ISBE/QU agreement. Program Requirements for Dual Special Education/Elementary Education Major:
- Completion of the Bonaventure Program and requirements for undergraduate degrees.
- Meet requirements for admission to the Teacher Education Program (TEP).
- Demonstration of professional dispositions in course work and field experiences.
- Testing-Illinois Content Tests (Special Education and Elementary Education Content Area Tests.) See (http://www.il.nesinc.com)-edTPA to be completed during Student Teaching.
