The major in Cybersecurity is designed to prepare students to respond to a critical need in the use of information technology through a program that combines intense and up-to-date training in hardware, software, and network solutions with rigorous and broad training in the liberal arts. The curriculum is rooted in computer science and adds specific courses that address the needs of cybersecurity, to maintain and protect the security of hardware, software, and data from cyberattacks.
Program Requirements for Cybersecurity Major:
- Completion of the Bonaventure Program and requirements for undergraduate degrees.
- The technological literacy requirement will be fulfilled by completing the computer science/cybersecurity courses required for the major.
- Students need a Cumulative Major GPA of 2.0 and no more than 2 major courses below a C to receive a degree. Major courses are all courses listed in section G of the degree checklist.
