DMS 201 - Clinical Practicum I

This practicum includes a study of sectional anatomy in the transverse, longitudinal and coronal planes, and includes hands-on scan experience in a controlled environment. The focus will be on abdominal/small parts, gynecological, and some vascular procedures and protocols. Students will focus on proper image production and optimization along with biological effects. They will also learn about quality control and improvement.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
