MEC 532 - Grief Counseling

Gain a deeper understanding of the profound and complex topics of death, dying, grief, and loss, and their application in the field of counseling. Through this course, students will examine the meaning of death and the various anxieties associated with it. They will also explore the different forms and impacts of loss on individuals and the grieving process. With a strong focus on cultural differences, students will learn to identify and address abnormal grieving behaviors. This course will also emphasize the use of both individual and group interventions in supporting those who are experiencing loss.
