CRJ 350 - Community Corrections, Probation and Parole

This course examines the role of community corrections, probation and parole as components of the criminal justice network. Areas which will be analyzed and discussed include community corrections, probation and parole philosophy, programs and practices, theories, case law history, system components, and supervision. The course will also examine the process of presentence investigations, specialized programs, innovative sentencing, personnel and related training issues, and probation and parole standards.
Prerequisite(s): CRJ 101 .
