This handbook does not constitute a contract, either expressed or implied, between Quincy University and any student, employee, parent, or other individual. Quincy University reserves the right to amend, modify, suspend, interpret, or eliminate policies, procedures, regulations, standards, and sanctions contained in this handbook or related University materials when deemed necessary to protect students, safeguard the University community, comply with legal obligations, or adhere to best practices.
Such changes may be implemented at any time and shall become effective as determined by the University.
Students will be informed of significant changes promptly through official University communication methods, including Quincy University email. The University reserves the right to determine the method and timing of notification.
Students are responsible for reviewing and complying with the policies, procedures, and expectations outlined in this handbook, the Academic Catalog, official University communications, posted notices, and other institutional publications. Students are also responsible for regularly monitoring their Quincy University email account and campus communications.
Ignorance of the content of the Quincy University Student Handbook, Academic Catalog, University communications, or posted notices does not excuse a student from compliance with University policies and procedures.
Any alleged violation of the policies outlined or referenced in this handbook may result in action through the Student Accountability Process or other applicable University procedures.
The University reserves the right to impose sanctions proportionate to the severity, frequency, or impact of the conduct, including sanctions greater than those listed in this handbook, when circumstances warrant.
The University reserves the right to take interim or immediate action when necessary to protect the safety, health, welfare, or orderly operation of the University community.
The policies and examples in this handbook are not meant to be exhaustive. Quincy University reserves the right to address behaviors not specifically described herein if the conduct is determined to be inconsistent with University standards, community expectations, or applicable laws.
If any provision of this handbook is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
