Consumer Information & Federal Disclosures
Quincy University provides students, prospective students, employees, and prospective employees with access to information required by federal and state law, including consumer protection disclosures, campus safety information, student rights, financial aid information, and institutional policies.
Additional information may be available through the University website or upon request through the appropriate administrative office.
Annual Security and Fire Safety Reports
In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (“Clery Act”), Quincy University publishes an Annual Security Report and Annual Fire Safety Report each year.
On or before October 1 of each year, the University will notify current students and employees that these reports are available. The reports contain information regarding:
- campus safety and security policies,
- crime prevention programs,
- fire safety procedures,
- emergency response and evacuation procedures,
- timely warnings and emergency notifications,
- missing student notification procedures,
- campus crime statistics,
- and fire statistics for on-campus student housing facilities.
Prospective students and employees may obtain information regarding the availability of these reports through admissions, employment materials, or the University website.
Printed copies of the reports are available upon request through the Office of Safety and Security.
Emergency Response and Evacuation Procedures
The University maintains emergency response and evacuation procedures intended to protect the health and safety of the campus community.
Emergency notifications may be issued in situations involving an immediate threat to the health or safety of students, employees, or visitors.
The University may communicate emergency information through:
- text messaging systems,
- campus alert systems,
- email,
- website postings,
- public address systems,
- social media,
- or other communication methods deemed appropriate.
The University may conduct emergency response and evacuation drills or exercises periodically and may evaluate the effectiveness of emergency procedures and communication systems.
Missing Student Notification Policy
Quincy University maintains procedures for reporting missing students residing in on-campus housing facilities.
Students residing in University housing may identify a confidential contact person to be notified in the event the student is determined to be missing in accordance with applicable law.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”) affords eligible students certain rights regarding their education records.
These rights include:
- the right to inspect and review education records,
- the right to request amendment of inaccurate or misleading records,
- the right to consent to disclosures of personally identifiable information except as authorized by law,
- and the right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning alleged failures to comply with FERPA.
The University may designate certain information as “directory information” in accordance with FERPA unless a student submits a timely written request to withhold such information.

Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Disclosure
Quincy University complies with the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act. It is committed to maintaining an environment free from the unlawful possession, use, distribution, manufacture, or sale of alcohol and controlled substances.
The University provides information regarding:
- standards of conduct related to alcohol and drugs,
- applicable legal sanctions,
- health risks associated with alcohol and drug use,
- available counseling, treatment, rehabilitation, and re-entry programs,
- and institutional disciplinary sanctions for policy violations.

Copyright Infringement and Peer-to-Peer File Sharing
Unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material, including unauthorized peer-to-peer file sharing, may violate federal law, University policy, and applicable license agreements.
Students and employees who engage in copyright infringement may face:
- disciplinary action,
- loss of network access,
- civil liability,
- and criminal penalties.
The University reserves the right to monitor and respond to reports of unauthorized distribution of copyrighted materials using University networks and systems in accordance with applicable law and University policy.

Student Financial Aid Information
The University provides consumer information related to financial aid programs and student financial assistance in accordance with federal law.
Available information may include:
- cost of attendance,
- financial aid programs,
- satisfactory academic progress standards,
- return of Title IV funds policies,
- loan counseling information,
- net price calculator information,
- and student loan repayment resources.

Student Right-to-Know Information
The University may provide institutional information in accordance with federal Student Right-to-Know requirements, including information related to:
- retention rates,
- graduation rates,
- completion rates,
- and other institutional data as required by law.

Equity in Athletics Disclosure
In accordance with the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA), Quincy University makes available information on participation opportunities, financial support, and other data related to intercollegiate athletic programs, as applicable.
Information regarding EADA disclosures may be obtained through the Department of Athletics or the University website.
Voter Registration Information
The University encourages eligible students to participate in the electoral process.
Information regarding voter registration, election dates, and voting procedures may be obtained through state election authorities or the University website.
