Quincy University’s educational mission, rooted in the Catholic and Franciscan traditions, has two key components: shaping who we want our students to be and defining what we want our students to know. Our goal is to instill values in our graduates that enable them to pursue wisdom and transform the world, while imparting the knowledge and skills essential to successful, productive lives.
The Bonaventure Program is designed to set students on a path of lifelong learning and to guide them toward becoming thoughtful, moral individuals. This program, combined with Quincy University’s co-curricular plan, helps students make meaningful connections between their classroom experiences and their out-of-classroom experiences.
Each area is grounded in our Franciscan values, Bonaventure Outcomes, and Dimensions of Wellness, all of which will enhance the student experience.
Co-Curricular Outcome #1: Community and Civic Engagement
Students will demonstrate the ability to engage the QU community, their local community, and beyond in purposeful and constructive ways through intentional activities and programs that guide them in becoming active and engaged citizens who promote social change.
Co-Curricular Outcome #2: Healthy Habits and Balanced Living

Co-Curricular Outcome #4: Integrative Knowledge and Reflection
Through the lens of their own life experience, students will be able to reflect critically on their decisions and actions while recognizing their strengths and limitations.
